Bike Shop

The Eckerd College Bike Shop located under the Nu Dorm Complex is open at various times Monday through Friday in a limited capacity for the 2024-25 academic year. The shop can do all repairs such as tightening chains, rebuilding wheels, and adding air to tires. We have space for you to DIY your own projects too, all of which are assisted and supervised by Work Study students. Yellow Bike Program

Cruise around campus on one of Eckerd's staples. We’re excited to offer a fleet of over 100 yellow cruiser bikes, available for FREE to all students and staff on our campus. Whether you're heading to class, meeting friends, or just enjoying a ride, the yellow bike program helps provide a fun, eco-friendly way to get around Eckerd's breath taking campus. Grab one and start pedaling today!

If you encounter any issues while using one of our bikes, simply flip it over and our bike shop staff will come to the rescue. We’ll pick it up and ensure it gets expertly repaired so you can keep cruising with ease!

Our fleet of yellow bikes is designed for on-campus use only! Whether you’re commuting between classes or exploring the campus, these bikes are the perfect way to get around. For everyone’s safety and convenience, please keep the bikes within the campus boundaries. 

White Bike Program 

Explore beyond campus with our White Bikes!  These free to rent bikes  are available for short 4-hour rentals, perfect for off-campus trips. Simply sign up through the On Bike Share app using your Eckerd email. You can find the White Bikes outside the James Center, ready to take you wherever you need to go. Whether you're running errands, exploring the area, or just need a change of scenery, our white bikes offer a convenient way to get around. Just remember to return the bike within 4 hours!
